Echoes of Elsecar
Documentary
Synopsis
What's the best way to hear about Elsecar? Ask the people who live there of course. Sit back and hear stories of Elsecar from three of its honoured residents. Learn about a family whose roots are entwined into the industrial heritage, learn about the canal from a man who worked on it, and take a seat in the garden to hear all about the ghosts of Elsecar.
About the production
This project was made in conjunction with Westwood 2015, a local charity who's focus is on preventing social exclusion. This project came about after a recce of Elsecar when we happened to bump into Ian (the first man interview). Learning about his connections to the town spurred us to dig deeper and uncover how the residents of Elsecar were connected to the town.
